• Homemade Christmas Gift Vouchers + Free Printables

    Banner Feature Vouchers

One of my favourite stocking fillers/thoughtful gifts is to give Personalised Gift Vouchers. These allow me to give the gift of my help/services or something for a later date that I couldn’t quite give them on the day. Also they are a great way of showing that you care and know what they REALLY want for Christmas.

Here are some cute ideas for things you can “Give” on your vouchers.

    Voucher ideas from the Kids

    • Chore vouchers
    • Breakfast in bed
    • Washing the car
    • Letting you lie in
    • Taking the dog for a walk
    • 1 Hour’s worth of silence (this is basically a golden ticket)

    Vouchers ideas from the Adults

    • Romantic dinner
    • Day off without the kids
    • “Mummy, Daddy time” *wink wink*
    • Breakfast in bed (who doesn’t love that)
    • IT help for the grandparents
    • New date idea (e.g. dancing, seeing a show – something you’ve not done before)
    • Shopping spree (the budget would go in the T & C’s :p)

I usually create my own design specific to the person/situation but this is a basic Christmas template if you’re not very crafty or are a little pressed for time.

Also I learned the lesson of putting Terms & Conditions on mine –  I gave an hour of secretarial duties to my dad (basic computer stuff and bookkeeping) three years ago and he is still re-using it because “there is no end date” and I didn’t “specify if it was just one hour or if it was several uses of under an hour” – The man should have been a lawyer I swear! – I learned my lesson.

I have included three different versions of the design: simple block colours, the main design and a black and white line only version for the kids to colour in!

Hi Charlotte. this is a brilliant idea, my son did something similar a few years back except he wrote chores he was prepared to do for his sister in a spiral notebook and he was very insistent that the page was torn out when the chore was done. Printable vouchers are a much better idea…. I always seem to be helping my parents either with computer stuff (they think I’ma whizz, although I have explained that all I do is Google things I want to know!)or music.

    Great Christmas gift idea.

I love vouchers! We’ve given them as gifts before, but not in the stockings. That will be great this year, because we don’t do gifts anymore in our family, just stockings. :-) I’m always looking for new ideas, so this is awesome!! Thanks.

  13. What a fab idea, these look brilliant! In the past we have given my inlaws theatre tickets as a Christmas present. Except we haven’t booked anything as we want them to choose the show so having something like this would have been great rather than just writing it on plain paper.
