These mummy pizzas are quick, easy snack or lunch options with a Halloween theme.
I don’t do much recipe creation at the moment because I can’t find the time to keep the kitchen clean, let alone spend ages testing out recipes but that’s what I love about these! Halloween food is always fun and really cute but a lot of the time it is quite a lot of work for not a lot of gain which is why these mummy pizzas are perfect because they are actually quick and easy and also have some of the boy’s favourite ingredients (black olives, who knew!).
Are they the healthiest? Probably not, but then with the other sweets and chocolate we are probably going to be eating this practically counts as a salad! They would be great for parties and you can get the kids to help which is a great activity to do for Halloween too! So here are the mummy pizzas:
Ready-Made Tomato Pizza Sauce
Mozzarella (or you can use string cheese)
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees C (400F).
2. Slice the muffins in half (each half makes one mummy)
3. Spead the tomato sauce over the muffins
4. Slice the black olives and place them as eyes
5. Pull apart the string cheese or chop the mozzarella into strips
6. Cross over to make it look like bandages.
7. Bake for 8-10 minutes
*You can also grill them to make them brown more on the top for around 4-6 minutes. (keep an eye on them though as they quickly burn – voice of experience!)
