This is Oh My Blog! A brand new monthly interview series featuring a whole host of fellow bloggers. Each month, we’ll be bringing you different themed posts showcasing the very best bloggers out there, and answering some questions so you can get to know us better!
This month, we’re meeting Kimberly from OddHogg and the questions are based on the fitting February topic of love! (since it’s coming up to Valentine’s Day and all!) Everything in bold is my questions and everything else is all Kimberly, so here we go!
A Bit About Kimberly.
I am Kimberly, and I write over at OddHogg. It is a family and lifestyle blog where I document our lives as a family of 3. The highs and the lows, tips, recipes, reviews – you name it, I’ve probably covered it!
I am married. We have been together for 6 years and married for almost 2
Not generally. In fact, we spent last Valentines with my sister and her husband. I don’t believe we need one day a year to tell each other we love each other. We prefer to date throughout the year, enjoying each other’s company as often as we can!
Somewhere that you can talk. I hate dates to somewhere like the cinema where you can’t really get to know the person.
A few years ago JHogg bought me a new dress and shoes and left them on the bed along with a £20 note for a taxi and a card telling me where and when to meet him for drinks and dinner. It was all so well thought out. Hilariously, I arrived at the bar to discover him standing outside as they were closed for a private function! We still laugh about it now, it is probably our favourite date that we’ve ever had.
Oh it has to be the Notebook. I’m an absolute sucker for it. I loved the book just as much.
Probably Ryan Gosling…. or Channing Tatum. Either would do 😉
I love receiving flowers, but I’m not particularly bothered by them around Valentines. I find it far more romantic to be surprised with them for no reason at all at another point in the year. That said – I’ll never turn away a bouquet!
I have a son, who is 11 months old. We would definitely like a sibling for him in the future. At the moment though we are just enjoying spending our time with him and watching his little personality develop.
It was You’re My Best Friend by Queen 🙂
None at all – a quiet night in. Maybe get a Markies dinner if we’re feeling fancy.
No – nor do I have any desire to!
The Maldives. We went there on honeymoon and it was without a doubt the best holiday I’ve ever had. The hotel was idyllic and I didn’t want to leave.
I don’t think I’ve ever really received one! My opinions on Valentines have always been made pretty clear.
Communication. I don’t just mean about big things, just a general chat. Going out and spending time together and talking about your day. It keeps us grounded 🙂
