The husband is REALLY into smoothies at the moment and this was something he happened across while trying to find a new flavour. He had a sore throat and was making a banana smoothie and thought to combine the two, and turns out it is delicious. Even the toddler likes it! I’ve named it the 1…2…3… smoothie because it has 3 ingredients and is ready in three steps. So it is probably my most simple smoothie recipe!
This recipe uses frozen bananas because using frozen fruit allows you to get the same coldness without watering down with ice! Maximizing the smoothie delicious-ness!
To Freeze bananas and stop them from sticking together in balls (not great for putting in the blender) chop them into slices and place between baking sheets in a freezable box. No muss, no fuss!
if you would rather use fresh bananas then add a couple of chips of ice and some more bananas to stop it from being watered down (or you could add more milk if it gets too thick)
300ml Whole Milk – You can substitute with semi skimmed to make it even healthier
60g Frozen Bananas
3 Tsp Honey
*Serves two*
3. Pour and drizzle honey over the top to serve
