As of today, I am on vacation! Three weeks of taking a break from work, the stresses of day to day life (sort of) and everything else that encompasses it.
I will be going on holiday for two weeks of this and although I could probably find the time to blog or work I decided that I need to recharge my batteries and pay full attention to my family. SO as a last, little post before I go away, I thought I would compile a list of benefits that taking a break can have along with the signs that I have noticed that led me to decide to have a mini-hiatus for the blog!
These are just a few different things I have been feeling recently that have clued me in on my needing a break!
Signs you need a break
- Finding work boring (or more than usual)
- Struggling to finish tasks
- Easily distracted
- Feeling disconnected from your partner
From my experience, I have found that even short breaks can be beneficial and even taking the weekend off can leave you feeling renewed and energized and ready to get back to work.
What you can get from taking a break
- Fresh perspective
- Renewed enjoyment
- Sense of purpose
Overall, I am definitely hoping to feel rejuvenated and find my sense of purpose (along with some new original ideas) so that I can write even more fab posts! So far I have been very blessed this year as far as the blog, starting my writing career and being able to work from home (although the hours have been crazy). So I am looking forward to much more when I am back from hiatus.
Note: For all my blogging, linky friends I will not be co-hosting The Pinterest Game for the next 3 weeks but you can find it over on Kellie’s blog Pins in a Nutshell until I get back 🙂
Hope you all have a great Holiday yourselves and remember to take a break!!
