For a healthy (and quick) breakfast yoghurt, try this cheat recipe!
I try to experiment as much in the kitchen as I can, but since we have moved it has been ages since I posted a recipe and to be perfectly honest, this isn’t really one. It’s more of a cheats guide to healthier yoghurt and an improvement of what is already there! It’s also a really easy and cool way to pack in more of the good stuff for fussy eaters or kids. It’s horrendously easy and I almost didn’t post it because I thought, people surely must know already and then when I spoke to some of my friends they thought it was a good idea. So voila, a recipe is born.
I have to say, this breakfast yoghurt went down a treat when we had it with a crunchy Cheerio topping but it also tastes nice with grated chocolate on top if you fancy something a bit sweeter for dessert. It’s the yoghurt for all mealtimes and here’s how I made it.
Ingredients
*2 Servings*
- 1 Chopped Banana
- 200g Greek or Plain Yoghurt
- 2 Tbsp. Honey
- 1 Tsp. Vanilla Essence
Method
- Add all of the ingredients into a blender and mix on a high-speed setting until they have blended together to make your creamy yoghurt.
*Note – Add the honey last so that it doesn’t stick on the sides or bottom of the blender and properly mixes in*
I told you it was easy! Because the base for this breakfast yoghurt is a plain yoghurt you can experiment with fruits and other ingredients to find the right combination that you like. I think we might try blueberry or raspberry next!
