The Asics Gel-Pulse 6  have been fantastic and they are still going strong 1 year later!

These were a great and unexpected gift last Christmas (thank you mummy) and although my mum is not very knowledgeable about running – she is great at shopping!

Here’s how I got on with the them:

Asics Gel-Pulse 6

Name: Asics Gel – Pulse 6

Price: They were a present so i’m not sure – The RRP now is around £40

Bought from: Gift.

Colour: Purple and Lime

Special Features:

  • Forefoot and Rearfoot Cushioning
  • Guidance line
  • Removable sockliner

Stability: Good

Style: very purple! – They aren’t great for fashion statements – luckily I’m not very fashion forward

Notes:

Pros:

The most durable and lasting trainers I have owned and they are still going strong! – The performance and grip hasn’t been compromised and neither has the stability which is unusual for a running shoe over time!

Although I am sure they weren’t £40 when I got them, they are now which means this are great value for money  and I would definitely buy them for myself when these eventually (if ever) start to wear down!

I have worn them through an entire 10k summer series, two half marathons and training so I think they would be great for marathoners

Cons:

They are quite heavy, which makes them stable but does take some getting used too! Because of the extra weight they aren’t trainers for personal bests (or at least you will have to work very hard).

Overall Rating:

4 out of 5 stars

Durable, cost effective and stable – for event speed you’ll need something else
