Since starting school last September, it is the toddler party season for us and my little dude is loving the invites and seeing his friends at the weekends!
I thought I would write a post so for a little inspiration to make your parties fun! Plus it’s really just some self-indulgence for me because I love all the cute themes! So if your toddler has a birthday party coming up soon but you have no ideas of what kind of party to throw for them you came to the right place. Here are 15 cool toddler party ideas that you can use or get inspiration from to throw the best birthday party for your toddler.
Any digger-lover would love this party! Not only that, it’s fairly simple to set up and you can as creative or little with it as you want. Everything you need for this party can be found on amazon.com or local craft stores/party stores.
Maybe I’m just picking parties that I enjoy, after all, mermaids are life! If your little girl is a fan of mermaids this is the party for her. Again for the decorations, you can find them online or if you want to, you can get crafty and make them yourself. As for the treats, there are plenty of inspirational ideas on Pinterest.
Have an indoor beach theme at any time of the year with this idea, bring the beach party to you! Just get creative.
Candy Land Party
Every toddler LOVES sweeties! A great part of this party is that it doesn’t take that many decorations because it’s more about all of the sweet treats. Just remember the parents might not be happy about the sugar high afterwards :p
The new movie everyone loves can now be the theme of your toddler’s party. The decorations can be found at any local party store or online unless you’re feeling really artsy and want to make them yourself.
Cat in The Hat
Dr Seuss’ birthday has just gone but our love of him is all year round and who doesn’t love this classic Dr Seuss book? Well, bring it to life for your toddler with a Cat in The Hat themed party. They have a blast, no doubt.
Cats and Rainbows
We are cat lovers and I know plenty of toddlers that love animals too, combine this with a love of all things colorful and you have a fun theme idea.
Paw Patrol Party
We are Paw Patrol mad in this house at the moment so really this is just inspiration for me!! It’s always great to throw a party with the theme being your toddler’s favourite cartoon.
This party can be themed around one superhero or many, it just depends on what superhero your toddler likes. This party idea is great because you can find decorations almost anywhere, it suits boys and girls and who doesn’t want to be a superhero for the day!
Every little girl wants to be a princess and if you throw them a princess themed party they’ll surely feel like one! This one is just like the superhero one, it’s best to know what princess they like best and theme it around them. Or just get creative, the possibilities are endless! OR you could combine the princess and superhero theme to cater for a large group of children! – We have been invited to a couple of these themed parties this year.
Make your party magical with mythological creatures, you don’t have to limit yourself to unicorns either (even though they are a growd pleaser!) Why not try a Pheonix fire bird or a griffin.
In the same realm as a superhero toddler party but a lot more broad ranging and opens up more of a creative door! (you can also use this as an adult theme too!).

Again with the classics, this one can really be out there, though and expand into the weird and wonderful. Plus you can incorporate a tea party and have a blast with the decorations.
