Upcycle Holiday Card Ideas - The Mummy ToolboxHello, My Name is Charlotte and I am a hoarder!

Ok maybe I am not that bad but I hate throwing cards away – birthday, Christmas or otherwise! after all of the time and money  people spent thinking, writing and sending them to me I can’t face just chucking them!

So with that in mind I went to ol’ faithful Pinterest and found some fantastic projects I am going to use!  These are my favourite ways to upcycle Holiday Cards:

    Holiday Keepsake ornament

I found this great idea on Scoutie girl but is originally by Nicole from Lillyella

Lovely Placemats for a family keepsake

I thought this was a fantastic idea by Junk Mail Gems! – Particularly if you get a lot of kids cards they would be a fantastic interesting way to keep the kids entertained waiting for teatime!

Cut Up Card Pieces - Easy Scrapbook Background Ideas

    Upcycled Holiday Cards

I use holiday cards to create backgrounds for my scrapbook! Useful and creating memories! – I spoke about it in my post “Scrapbook Background Ideas

    Christmas Card Puzzles

Motherhood on a dime shares a cute idea to put in the kids “busy bags” – or for playtime when you are travelling! it’s a lovely idea and you can make it easier or harder by cutting up more or less pieces!

    Bookmarks

I am in the process of using The Crafty Mummy’s Idea for bookmarks from cards! since we all got a few books for the holidays they are very needed!

    Christmas card notepads

I had never seen this idea before but Hope Studios has a great tutorial for turning your leftover holiday cards into mini notepads! perfect for the handbag or shopping!

    Gift Tags

Get extra organised and make gift tags for next year or other holidays with this fab design from Milo Made –  You can make some for year round events and be frugal!

What do you do with your leftover cards?

I would love to find new projects! Speaking of which: If you are looking for inspiration for your next project why not follow the “Project Ideas” Board on Pinterest.

  7. I have used old Christmas cards as gift tags on one or two organised years (although mostly because I’m too disorganised to ever remember to buy gift tags). Some interesting ideas for the rest of the year though.
